She is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and came to FUMC from Central United Methodist Church in Charlotte. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. She then went on to obtain her Masters of Divinity Degree at Duke University Divinity School. Reverend Pleasants’ hobbies include reading, running, boxing and passions for basketball.
